Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science or related field. Experience in accounting procedures and accounting processes. Experience in K-12 school environment. RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Understand and provide Customer Success services for the computer and network systems, applications and programs supported by the Management Technology Department. This includes, answering user calls for assistance, recording pertinent information as appropriate, and providing documentation. Applications and programs supported include, but are not limited to: - Microsoft applications (Office, etc.);
- Locally developed IBM iSeries based Budget/Finance, Payroll/Personnel Core Business Systems applications;
- Data Warehousing;
- Student Information Systems software (i.e. PowerSchool and PowerSchool Special Programs applications);
- State and Federal data submissions and reporting systems.
Work directly with MISD Programmers, Business Office Staff, Business Office and Human Resources staff for the support and training of the Core Business System. Recommend system changes to support workflow improvements and usability including creating documentation for best practices. Understand, support, and document the User side operations of the Core Business System. modules and Business Office protocols. Operate each piece of data/information processing equipment, including equipment such as scanners, printers, and forms handling equipment. Use systematic problem-solving techniques to anticipate and solve problems with networked desktop hardware, application software, and operating systems. Assist the user community with the effective use of software application tools including just-in-time training on software applications, complex problem resolution, assisting in template and format creation, creating reports and automating repetitive tasks. Prepare materials and provide training for applications and systems supported by Customer Success staff. Act as project coordinator for complex tasks and/or assignments. Adhere to recordkeeping, operations schedules and procedures established by management. Prepare routine reports, invoices and other documentation as required. Work in direct contact with representatives of constituent school districts, vendors for support/maintenance of products, the Michigan Department of Education and related agencies, other users and coworkers, to provide support and assistance as necessary. Provide training as needed for customers and coworkers including presentations, workshops, conference sessions, webinars, etc. Provide user support in setting up access and authorities to MISD supported applications in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as appropriate and determined by supervisor and/or administrator.
