A growing company that is revolutionizing laser technology, is looking to add Field Service Technicians across the US. This is a growing team with location availabilities in Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Atlanta and Louisville, KY. The candidate needs to live a reasonable distance from an airport.The Customer Support Engineer plays a key role in the success of their products. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with and training customers, peers, and coworkers. Responsibilities include installation, diagnosis, and repair of company's laser products.Must be able to operate successfully in a remote role. This is a home-based position that requires extensive travel throughout the US, but primarily in the eastern half of the country. Some international travel will also be required. Travel time will average 75%-85%. Will be home most weekends and rarely work on weekends. Functions:- Work to achieve the fastest possible resolution to customer product failures- Document support activities in a thorough and timely manner- Build trusting relationships with customers and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction- Assist Sales Account Managers by learning and reporting customer needs and issues with company products- Working with Tech Support, assist in definition and documentation of installation and diagnostic procedures for field support of company products- Provide feedback and recommendations to Management, Technical Support and Sales on product and process improvements- Deliver basic maintenance and repair training to customers, partners, and fellow Customer Support Engineers- Demonstrate an unwavering dedication to safety of yourself and all of those around youThey are looking for transitioning veteran, with strong electronic or electrical backgrounds. Will be working with smaller components so need to be detail oriented.Company conducted Interviews every Wednesday so must be available. Base salary with bonus, company equity and stock purchase program. They have strong 401k and $700 monthly car allowances. Per diem while traveling. The company will provide OJT with other technicians.
