VitalSource is hiring a Customer Training Manager to contribute to our Customer Success team located in Raleigh NC, Franklin TN, or Boston MA (preferred locations). Applicants outside of these preferred locations will still be considered. This is a remote role with a travel requirement of up to 10% for occasional team settings, conferences, etc.Are you passionate about creating impactful learning experiences and driving the adoption of digital education solutions? Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, manages, and delivers customer training programs to ensure high-value service to new and existing customers.
  • Partners with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and other functional subject matter experts to develop training requirements and content.
  • Develops quality and relevant training content to increase customer user adoption and continued customer utilization.
  • Utilizes technology and internal resources to create and deliver training with videos, documentation, webinar/virtual training, customer portals, and live training sessions at customer sites.
  • Develops and delivers ongoing internal training, including train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Recommends and implements targeted learning and organizational development solutions.
  • Measures the impact of instructional programs and generates appropriate metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness and return on investment of the program.
  • Conducts ongoing review of training content and asset library to keep assets current, relevant, and effective.
  • Provides level-one support to Sales and Customer Success, as needed, in answering questions regarding VST training tools and courses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Instructional Design: A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering instructor-led training programs, specifically in customer training or enablement roles.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with Salesforce.
  • Experience working with Zendesk.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across different teams and departments within an organization to achieve shared goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all training materials and deliverables.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
  • Video Creation Expertise: Hands-on experience in creating engaging and high-quality video content to support training and enablement efforts.
  • Exceptional Presentation Skills: Skilled in delivering presentations that captivate and inform audiences, with the ability to adapt style and content to various audiences.
