Job Position: Cutting Machine Operator

Location: TOPEKA, KS 66611

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

Shift: 1st

Description:

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting production orders and design patterns.

• Setting up and operating cutting machines, including manual and automated systems.

• Managing inventory of materials and supplies required for cutting processes.

• Inspect products and materials, identify problems, and identify solutions

• Place paper on the cutter bed, align the sheets, cut the paper, and stack on pallets for shipment

• Record job information on job tags

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 70 pounds occasionally.

• Stand long hours

Skills:

• Enter data into a computer

• Read a ruler

• Do simple math (add, subtract, multiply, divide both whole numbers as well as decimals and fractions) and compute rate, ratio, and percent.

• Must have some experience in the printing industry.
