We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The RN will provide high-quality care in the Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable areas, working with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care in the operating room and other assigned units. The position requires expertise in acute care, particularly in complex surgeries and high-acuity patient care.
Position Highlights:- Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery / Acuity Adaptable Area (3 or above)
- Shift: 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 6:40pm - 7:00am
- Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite. Other transportation options are available.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years, with expertise in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable areas (3 or above).
- Licensure and Certifications:
- Must hold a valid WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required through American Heart Association only.
- Facility Requirement:
- Traveler's permanent address must be within 50 miles of the assigned primary work site location.
