The Client Engagement Team is responsible for building our brand, attracting new clients and developing deeper relationships with existing clients by creating value from our client network and the wider Goldman Sachs network. We are seeking an Associate to play a key role in the development and implementation of our global client engagement strategy across the Americas.

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

About Goldman Sachs Marketing

Led by the firms first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firms future growth. As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of COE teams including Brand Marketing, Marketing Strategy & Transformation, Content, and Media, as well marketing teams for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this function will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve.

This candidate will be responsible for assisting with the execution of our holistic client engagement model.

  • Develop and execute the event component of the PWM client engagement strategy, working, where appropriate, on a cross-divisional basis with other businesses of Goldman Sachs, as well as firmwide event management resources
  • Come up with creative ideas to engage our clients across the U.S.
  • Assist with central coordination of all logistics, programming and data tracking for CET efforts
  • Ensure we are maximizing the client engagement opportunities at our events
  • Help maintain an evaluation framework, including supporting analytics, to measure the commercial effectiveness of the broader PWM client engagement effort
  • Assist with creating and updating a central forward calendar of events in PWM, cross-divisional, and external
  • Analyze target population of clients and prospective clients, and reach out to PWM teams where applicable to solicit interest in client engagement offerings
  • Develop and prepare internal presentations, meeting agendas and speaking points for CET team members
  • Assist with projects related to strategic planning and technology / infrastructure builds

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of relevant and interesting arts and cultural events, a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
