Salary range: $104,887 – 136,357 based on experience.
This position has the authority to set Advance In-Hire Rates for Cyber Workforce Positions.

For this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Team Lead to join the Air Force Directorate of Manpower, Personnel, and Services (AF/A1) Digital Transformation Activity (DTA). As a Team Lead and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) supporting the Cybersecurity Services supervisor and Cybersecurity Operations branch chief, you will be responsible for managing and implementing the AF/A1 DTA Cybersecurity Program, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, leading a team of cybersecurity professionals and assuring that the work of their assigned team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities. The Team Lead will utilize a variety of coordinating, coaching, facilitating, consensus-building and planning techniques to plan and coordinate cybersecurity, risk management services and application/software management activities for the Digital Transformation Activity in support of the AF/A1 portfolio of investments and systems. You will validate assessment results of technical and non-technical security controls for IT and determine the degree to which the IT satisfies compliance requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the operational security posture of our assigned systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and providing guidance on cybersecurity matters to senior leadership. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the security of our systems and networks. Knowledge of Salesforce, ServiceNow, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Agile methodologies is highly desirable. Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.• Knowledge of and skill in applying a full range of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing installing, operating, managing, and maintaining system and network services that support HRM functional requirements.• Knowledge of the operation, installation, analysis, and design principles for a full range of IT security tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), code scanning and other Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) suites of tools.• Knowledge of network architecture, interrelationships, operating modes, configuration, topology, and protocols typically found at base level, including current threats, attack signatures, and vulnerabilities with system hardware, software, and infrastructure.• Knowledge of IT risk assessment concepts and methods to identify risk level for AF authorizing officials to make an authorization decision through use of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system for Assessment & Authorization support.• Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of cybersecurity-related problems, and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from a cybersecurity/riskperspective.• Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of how cybersecurity advancement can meet future requirements, in particular to migration of HRM systems to the Cloud.• Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of network problems, and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.• Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and identify how management can use current technologies to meet future requirements.•Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position.
