Job Purpose and Overview The Cyber Security Manager leads the cyber security team, projects, and policies at Dawn. This includes managing staff, leading projects, drafting documentation, and leading Dawn to a best practice model for cyber security at Dawn. This also will include managing diverse teams through security incidents and investigations.
Work Environment & Travel Requirements: This is a hybrid role at our Home Office in Jackson, Michigan with requirements to be in the office 5 days per month or as needed with up to 10% travel. To be considered for this role you must reside in Jackson, MI, or surrounding areas.
What will you do as a Cyber Security Manager at Dawn Foods? - Defining and Scoping IT Security requirements, creating and executing IT and Data Security strategies, and enhancing the reliability and security of Dawn IT systems, projects, and data.
- Manage teams delivering secure and robust IT solutions to identified problems.
- Manage the creation of vulnerability audits, penetration tests, forensic IT investigations, and related outcomes improving overall IT Security.
- Manage external services related to cyber security.
- Reporting to senior management, key stakeholders, programmers, and other risk-assessment professionals will likely be a key part of this role.
- Stays current with new threats and technologies.
- Assist with compliance with necessary legislation, such as the Data Protection Act and other government regulations.
- Manage security awareness training and testing programs.
- Lead in the identification and selection of new security technologies, partners, vendors, and third-party service or solutions providers in the IT Security sector.
- Managing budgets and resources are managed effectively, ensuring that the organization always achieves a favorable return on IT investment in any solutions that it adopts.
- Work closely with risk and internal audit departments on cyber insurance and other related areas of compliance, risk, and governance.
What Does It Take to be a Cyber Security Manager at Dawn Foods? - A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or similar focus is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of cyber security experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in leading and managing IT projects, implementations, and training on new technologies.
- Strongly prefer experience with leading, coaching, and training teams or individuals.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Networking, and Office 365 security.
- Security Certifications.
- Experience collaborating with security-managed services offerings (detection response or external security operations)
- Experience leading training or educational initiatives for general and technical team members.
- Experience leading and managing projects for new technologies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Discreet, professional demeanor with a positive team attitude.
- Demonstrate the values of Team Dawn and support the Circle of Excellence philosophy.
- Experience with cybersecurity in a manufacturing organization is preferred.
