Position Summary:The Cycler Inspector will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting testing on high voltage lithium-ion batteries and components. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various environments. Individual must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced highly technical work environment and adapt to change.

Testing and measurement equipment can range from basic measuring tools (Vernier calipers, multi-meters) to highly complex test and inspection equipment (gas chromatography, CT scan, X-Ray, battery cyclers, environmental test chambers, vibration shaker, module crush tester, oscilloscope, coordinated measuring machine (CMM)).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the set-up, execution, and support of testing (audit/inspection) activities
  • Accurately analyze, record and document test (audit/inspection) data, including observations, measurements, and results
  • Prepare and maintain (PM and cleanliness) laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Must be able to work as a team in a diverse cultural workplace
  • Prepare, store, and dispose of samples according to laboratory requirements
  • Monitor and manage (calibration) lab supplies, consumables, and materials, including spare parts, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing testing
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other position related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Able to use MS Office suite including Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and gauges
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree, Technical training, or Military experience in technical field
  • Electronics, maintenance, science, chemical, or medical field and/or 2+ years in a quality technician role in lithium ion battery testing
  • Electro-Mechanically inclined
  • Practical use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools
  • Ability to read drawings, diagrams, and other technical documents
  • Calibration, CMM, test/laboratory experience
  • Experience/knowledge of inspection and auditing
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
