Position Summary:The Cycler Inspector will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting testing on high voltage lithium-ion batteries and components. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various environments. Individual must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced highly technical work environment and adapt to change.
Testing and measurement equipment can range from basic measuring tools (Vernier calipers, multi-meters) to highly complex test and inspection equipment (gas chromatography, CT scan, X-Ray, battery cyclers, environmental test chambers, vibration shaker, module crush tester, oscilloscope, coordinated measuring machine (CMM)).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the set-up, execution, and support of testing (audit/inspection) activities
- Accurately analyze, record and document test (audit/inspection) data, including observations, measurements, and results
- Prepare and maintain (PM and cleanliness) laboratory equipment and instruments
- Must be able to work as a team in a diverse cultural workplace
- Prepare, store, and dispose of samples according to laboratory requirements
- Monitor and manage (calibration) lab supplies, consumables, and materials, including spare parts, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing testing
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Able to use MS Office suite including Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of hand tools and gauges
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Preferred:
- Associates Degree, Technical training, or Military experience in technical field
- Electronics, maintenance, science, chemical, or medical field and/or 2+ years in a quality technician role in lithium ion battery testing
- Electro-Mechanically inclined
- Practical use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools
- Ability to read drawings, diagrams, and other technical documents
- Calibration, CMM, test/laboratory experience
- Experience/knowledge of inspection and auditing
- Bilingual in English and Korean
