OVERALL PURPOSECoordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAININGHigh School Diploma or Technical Degree in Manufacturing or Business5+ years' experience in ManufacturingESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK ACTIVITIESDistribute production schedules or work orders to departments.Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.Review documents, such as production schedules, or work orders, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.Aid in communication with establishment personnel, vendors or customers to coordinate production nor shipping activities and to resolve complains or eliminate delays.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESPROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLSListening - Receive feedback from Master Scheduler and Manufacturing PersonnelCritical Analysis - Monitor daily labor activities, identifying stoppages and bottlenecksDecision Making -- Adjust activities that will best suit the employee and the customerConflict Resolution - Aid in resolve disputes with personnel and labor activitiesVERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLSProficient in communication with internal customers, project team members and manufacturing personnelCoaching and identifying strengths of assemblers with production workCOMPUTER SKILLSExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)DECISIONS MADEAid in resource planning to meet manufacturing schedulesPersonnel and process evaluation to aid in process improvement (time and materials)INTERACTIONMaster Scheduler and Sales Account Manager to review and schedule work ordersManufacturing Employees to distribute work orders and field issuesEngineers & Managers to review manufacturing needsManufacturing Management for equipment evaluation, process improvement, cost/labor reduction
