CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!As a Data Analyst II, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate project data while generating insightful reports to support performance tracking and decision-making. You will collect, validate, and analyze data from various stakeholders,update the Project Power BI app, and develop data models and visualizations. Additionally, you will collaborate with IT and the Cost Manager to resolve data integration challenges, perform quality checks, and provide actionable insights through cash flow forecasting and variance analysis. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data integration tools, along with experience in data modeling and ad hoc reporting, is essential for success in this role.Position is located at a large project in San Francisco.CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare monthly reports for project owners and update the Project Power BI app to ensure the data is current and accurate.
  • Collect and validate information from project stakeholders, including leadership, engineering, and client, to understand their needs and requirements, and work with Cost Manager to produce insightful analysis and visualizations.
  • Develop, implement, and improve data models and reports to support project KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with IT to tackle integration challenges with external data sources.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all data deliverables.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests by researching, developing solutions, and presenting findings and recommendations to the team.
  • Oversee and update the monthly reporting, providing the Cost Manager with detailed explanations for significant variances, trends, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive cash flow and forecast reports, and conduct analysis, including variance, trend, and scenario modeling, to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Assist the Cost Manager in all aspects of cost control, including change management.
  • Implement the required commercial processes and aid in continuous development and improvement of these systems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Proficient in Excel - ability to write formulas, lookups, what ifs, power query, and charts. (Proficiency test will be administered)
  • Snowflake or similar - knowledgeable on data warehouse, basic understanding of data engineering, and conversion to data visualization platforms.
  • Basic programming languages like SQL, R, or Python.
  • Power BI - integration of data set to business intelligence visualization
  • SharePoint - adaptable to pushing contents to MS applications
  • Power Automate - familiarity with automation for repetitive tasks.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a Construction Management Certificate from an accredited university.
  • 1 to 2 years of cost analyst experience required.
  • Commercial construction management experience is desirable.
Range of base pay is $105,000-$125,000. Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.Webcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
