Data Analyst II Cox Communications is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Measure Evaluation and Optimization (MEO) team to help unlock the full power to develop and expand an analytically driven business performance evaluation framework. With experience in:
- Data mining, model development, evaluation and optimization, automation, analysis, and visualization
- Analytical capabilities building and continuous improvement
- Using data analysis to assess the performance and identify insights of strategies and tests
This role will be critical in building and enhancing core feature data sets and statistical/machine learning models to develop tools and new capabilities within the MEO organization. This role requires strong programming skills and advanced analytics to drive solution development at scale. You will be part of a team responsible for CCI's efforts to develop and expand an analytically driven business performance evaluation framework. Supporting testing, analysis, and reporting across multiple functional areas, including Marketing, Pricing, Sales, and Operations, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow analytical capabilities and support crucial business strategies. What You'll Do
- Gain a deep understanding of our data, including data sources, architecture, and systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert supporting effectiveness analysis, including
- A/B testing and multivariate experiments
- Sales, Marketing, Pricing performance, including evaluation of strategy objectives
- Performance of offers, customer migration, churn, etc.
- Develop framework to analyze effectiveness of offer recommendations, strategy rules and processes; provide insights to strategy teams for improvements.
- Conducts business/strategy impact analyses, validations, and measurement through all stages from concept formulation, definition of metrics, determination of appropriate statistical methodology, research evaluation, and final presentation.
- Provides recommendations and insights for business optimization and strategy improvements
- Use foundational data science methodologies to identify relationships/drivers of critical metrics related to marketing and sales objectives.
- Work closely with cross functional partners to establish the necessary process and data infrastructure and requirements to support reporting & analytic needs
- Utilize various data, visualization, dashboards, and Microsoft Office tools to assemble analysis and storytelling with actionable insights.
- Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
- Represent the team in various cross functional work streams and ad hoc analytical projects
- Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in data or analytical methods
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing data validation and quality assurance procedures.

- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or Spark and experience with machine learning libraries.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with teams across the organization to deliver, and potentially present, complex analysis projects
- Strong internal client and relationship management emphasis
- Creative thinker with a keen attention to detail
- Deadline driven ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Proficiency with quantitative tools including Excel and presentation tools such as PowerPoint and willingness to learn new tools that may be valuable to the team

- Comfort setting direction and drawing insight from multiple (and often unclear) data sources
- Hands on experience with SQL
USD 65,500.00 - 98,300.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. Benefits: The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
