At LDi, we are led by these core values: Mutually Successful Partnerships, Continually Investing, Integrity, Teamwork.LOCATION 1140 Wehrle Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221 JOB PURPOSE The Data Analyst is data-driven with strong analytical skills and has a proven record of finding insights in disparate data and using that information to drive decision making, as well as supporting data-related projects and seeing them through completion. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Provide analytics for both internal and external customers, while maintaining optimum quality and attention to detail.
  • Provide consultation, as needed, regarding reporting and analysis designs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot unanticipated data problems or unexpected results and provide solutions to resolve identified concerns.
  • Produce detailed reports that can be readily understood, using best-practices in data visualization.
  • Understand business stakeholders' objectives, the metrics that are most important to them, and how they measure their performance. Organize a weekly data packet constructed of these measures.
  • Develop ad-hoc and scheduled reporting utilizing various tools such as Microsoft SQL, Management Studio, Microsoft Office (Excel), Power BI, R Studio, SSRS, and similar tools.
  • Effectively communicate results to the team and make recommendations based on identified trends and insights found in the analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis support to identify trends that drive business performance.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelors' degree (master's degree highly preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related education is preferred.
  • 2+ year(s) of hands-on experience with data analyzing and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL, Management Studio, Microsoft Office (Excel), Power BI, R Studio, SSRS.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills and an eye for detail is imperative.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and manage large volumes of data.
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage project delivery.
  • Comfortable communicating within cross-functional teams to complete projects.
  • Experience in the transportation/logistic industry is a plus, but not required.
