Data Analyst - Ascendum Solutions : Job Details

12 month contract to hire, full benefits/PTO provided prior to conversion. Candidates should be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without needing Visa sponsorship.

Job Description

• Assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions.
• Gather Retail Operations data from multiple databases, platforms, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to complete analyze.
• Transform large data sets through data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations in large data sets.
• Implement row level security in the Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to enable secured viewing of the reports for designated job levels and locations.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs to execute department and enterprise-wide strategic objectives and initiatives.
• Identify and communicate any data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and the team.
• Provide data insights and solutions to leaders to drive decision-making.

• Problem solve and investigate issues
• Participate in all phases of system testing Work successfully in an Agile Project across multiple feature and component teams
• Complete estimates and work plans in Program Increments (PI) Meetings as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks

Skills:

• R (data cleaning, performing calculations on large datasets, performing exploratory data analysis).
• Python
• PowerBI (especially with DAX). Working with Power Query, Dataflows, Row Level Security (RLS) and writing measures with DAX
• Experience with visualization and a focus on the user experience. This role will have importance with making reports visually appealing and user friendly.
