Data Analyst The Data Analyst will provide data related support, data investigation, research, data management and data reporting for a Government security organization, whose mission is to protect our nation's critical assets through enterprise risk management, continuous innovation, and excellence in mission performance and customer service. The team will provide direct support our Government customer's metrics data group in identifying and reviewing the types of metrics pulled, utilized, and needed across their organization today.
In this role you will… - Review the types of metrics pulled/utilized/needed across the customer organization today.
- Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from datasets.
- Build and flesh out data models for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to access data from the customer's systems, define measurement standards, and generate ad-hoc and recurring reports and visualizations targeted to customer's operators, organizational leaders, and external (DoD/Government/Industry) stakeholders on customer's performance.
- Partner with customer senior leadership and Chief Strategy Office staff to refine Balanced Score Card for the organization, assisting the Government, as needed, as they establish a tracking mechanism with leading and lagging indicators to demonstrate progress against their strategic goals.
- Consolidate customer metrics responses and create visual representations of the results for submission to customer executive leadership.
- Collect information within the customer organization and, as appropriate, from emerging mission areas, and provide recurring and ad-hoc metrics reporting support for stakeholders.
- Conduct trend analysis to identify challenges, shortfalls, or emerging risks and work with the applicable customer stakeholders to identify the root cause for the significant change.
- Plan and schedule work in such a manner that it promotes a smooth flow and even distribution of activities to ensure effective use of organization resources, achieve organization goals and objectives, and meets customer needs.
- As metrics are collected, provide any suggestions or recommendations (i.e., automation tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc.) to increase efficiency and/or analysis capabilities for the customer's leadership's future consideration, if appropriate.
- Work closely, collaboratively and communicate effectively with all members of the project team including government and contractors.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide studies, analyses, scenarios, and reports that advise the best actions as well as interpreting results from studies, analyses, scenarios, and reports.
- Apply mission level thinking for current and emerging projects/programs, and translate stakeholder needs and expectations into statements assessing requirements.
- Perform complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models and/or systems related to project/program issues which require reports and recommended solutions.
- Analyze information from multiple sources to compile a complete and holistic solution
Experience Requirements: - 3+ years of related experience related to project/program management and program integration
- Excellent communication, written and verbal
- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe PDF
- Ability to handle stress and management multiple priorities
- Ability to complete other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Certification Requirements: Security Clearance Requirements: - Active DOD Top Secret (TS) Clearance
Other Requirements: - May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
- Requires ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks including filing and scanning
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
