Data Analyst/Modeler - Saxon Global : Job Details

The primary task of this individual will be creating source-to-target mappings in Erwin Mapping Manager based on existing documentation. However, the ideal candidate will be a well-rounded data analyst with the following background...

• Proficient in creation of source-to-target data mappings; mapping of tables, files, XML schemas, etc. from source to target; experience with Erwin Mapping Manager would be a huge plus
• Proficient in data modeling for both transactional and dimensional data warehouse databases
• Prefer knowledge of and applied use of Kimball Data Warehouse Methodology
• Experience using a standard data modeling toolset; prefer working knowledge of Erwin Data Modeler and Mart
• Data mining skills (including data auditing, aggregation, validation and reconciliation)
• 2+ years' experience coding in a development language such as Data Stage, Python, C++, or other language is a plus
• Strong ability to work with SQL databases; (SQL Server, Azure Synapse and/or Netezza DBMS a plus)
• Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Cloud Platform and data components is a plus
• Knowledge of real-time analytics and BI platforms such as Tableau and/or Power BI
• Data Analysis experience with data profiling and data validation
• Understanding of Data Quality (DQ) concepts and familiarity with DQ tools and methods; experience working on an active Data Governance Program is a plus
• Ability to communicate with customers to obtain data requirements and perform data analysis on data provided
• Strong oral and written communication skills - a MUST
• Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language
• Ability to work with teams towards a shared goal
• Ability to change direction quickly based on data analysis and/or architecture direction
• Ability to proactively seek clarification of requirements and direction to gain optimal solutions
