Title: Data Architect Duration: 6 Months 100% remote - supporting the Fortra implementation Job Summary: The responsibilities of this role will involve establishing Data Modelling, Migration and Governance, Entity Definition, Storage and Integrations Strategy Design. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing new design patterns for both project and Enterprise levels. The individual will be an integral member of the Architecture Team and will be responsible for the design of the enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy documents the current environment and supports future business needs. The role will involve collaborating with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation is adding value to the business.
Job Requirements: Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of Data Architecture and Data Engineering experience
- 5+ years experience in architecting data solution across hybrid (cloud, on premise) data platforms with various cloud platforms (CRM, ERP, BI, AWS, etc.)
- Experience with data cloud solutions such as Common Data Model, Microsoft Azure - Data Lake, Data Factory, Data Bricks, or similar.
- Experience with architecting data warehouse and plans for data ETL transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Amazon Glue, EMR, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, other analytics products.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent
Skills and Abilities: - Proven expertise in designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse data architectures, including warehouses, lakehouses, and integrated data stores.
- We are open to proficiency in a variety of technologies: for example: SQL, Bash, Python, Java, Presto, Spark, AWS, DataOps, DevSecOps, and the like.
- Experience with data security (including PHI and PII), as well as data privacy regulations (CCPA and GDPR)
- Proficient in addressing data-related challenges through analytical problem-solving and aligning data architecture with organizational business goals and objectives.
- Exposure to analytics techniques using ML and AI to assist data scientists and analysts in deriving insights from data.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and find optimal solutions.
- Ability to manage projects effectively, plan tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to define and manage data models for transactional and reporting needs.
Job Responsibilities: - Develop and evolve the enterprise-wide data strategy to support delivery of transformation objectives.
- Build a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across the business (including but not limited to ERP, CRM, BI, Data warehouse, external interfaces etc.)
- Ensure that the Data Architecture strategy and roadmap is aligned to the business and technology strategies provided by the Lead Enterprise Architect.
- Build and maintain appropriate Data Architecture artefacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, taxonomy to aid data traceability.
- Collaborate with internal departments to define the strategic data architecture vision, roadmap, and improve processes, data detail, and business applications.
- Establish guidelines, controls, and processes to make data available for developing scalable data-driven solutions for Analytics.
- Integrate security measures to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access, ensuring data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations in data architectural designs.
- Display strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern data architecture principles and technology modernization.
- Create comprehensive documentation for design, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Working with the Lead Enterprise Architect to conduct reviews to ensure the solution addresses customer pain points, business, and technical requirements, and alignment to standards and best practices.
