POSITION SUMMARY:

HIAS seeks a Data Associate to support with data analysis and client feedback as part of the Accountability to Affection Populations Framework. The Data Associate will coordinate data collection and analysis in the Resettlement & Integration Department, in close collaboration with the Data Analyst. Data analysis will be used for quality assurance and to inform evidence and outcomes-based program design. Additionally, the Data Associate will assist with reviewing and following up on client feedback to ensure HIAS meets the standard set by the Accountability to Affected Populations Framework.

Note, this is a temporary position that starts ASAP and ends September 30, 2025, with possible extension. The salary range for this position is $45,000.00-50,000.00.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Responsible for collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting of program data relevant to the Reception & Placement (R&P) program, including complementary projects funded by corporate or private donors; assists with data collection, cleaning, and analysis for programs in Resettlement and Integration.

* Provides data to HIAS Strategy, Evidence and Learning (SEL) department on programmatic reach and results; coordinates with SEL to analyze beneficiary feedback obtained through Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) activities at the affiliate and national level.

* Maintains database and conducts investigations related to AAP and grievances.

* Collaborates internal staff to create and maintain Power BI dashboard for data visualization of aggregated arrivals information.

* Liaises with internal staff on enhancements to the refugee placement optimization tool.

* Provides data on Initial Resettlement programs to the Executive Leadership Team, as well as the Policy & Advocacy, Communications and Development departments as needed.

* Provides support to Data Analyst with MEAL efforts as needed.

* Creates and conducts training for staff on basic data literacy concepts.

* Assists Data Analyst with data and reporting for Quarterly and Annual Reports, as well as reporting to private funders.

* Assists team with other tasks as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

* Undergraduate degree strongly preferred, ideally in Social Sciences, Information Systems or related field; equal work experience may substitute with demonstrated knowledge.

* 1-2 years of relevant work experience connected to data analytics.

* Experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI.

* Knowledge of U.S. Refugee Program preferred; previous work experience at a national resettlement agency or resettlement affiliate is an asset.

* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint and MS Teams, preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential.

* Knowledge of IRIS client management system is preferred; knowledge of Apricot is a plus.

* Experience with refugee resettlement preferred.

* Well-organized and detail-oriented; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with varying degrees of oversight.

* Ability to pivot and prioritize tasks effectively.

* Strong communicator, with experience helping to demystify data for teammates and use data to produce programmatic insights.

* Travel, to include travel to insecure operating environments, may be required.
