Position Overview

As a Data/Business Analyst at Flexstone Partners, you will be part of the Analytics Team based in New York, working in a global environment. You'll collaborate with colleagues across departments, including Investment Professionals, Operations, Investor Relations, and Business Development in New York, Paris, Geneva, and Singapore.

In this role, you will support the development and management of data systems to ensure efficient information sharing throughout the organization. You will conduct data analysis to provide insights that help guide decision-making, and you'll assist in creating reports and performance metrics to communicate the firm's value to stakeholders.

This position offers practical experience in a global financial services firm, giving you exposure to various aspects of data analysis in investment management working alongside experienced professionals.

Job Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the candidate will include:

  • Support and where appropriate lead global technical project management initiatives, focusing on optimizing workflows, enhancing forecasting capabilities, and managing the development of interactive dashboards in Power BI and Airtable to improve communication of complex dataflows and trends.
  • Design, maintain, and document scalable data pipelines in Snowflake, ensuring efficient data management that supports operational and investment decisions.
  • Oversee the production of track records, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of performance data within the firm to support business development efforts.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis, delivering precise statistics and actionable insights to inform investment strategies, drive business growth, and support senior leadership in key decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, to identify opportunities for process improvements and aligning data insights with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and manage technical data responses for Requests for Proposal (RFP), ensuring they are accurate, detailed, and strategically aligned with the firm's objectives and goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

The candidate will need to take initiative and contribute to the overall team effort and spirit. A self-starter mindset and ability for teamwork under time pressure are a prerequisite. Candidate needs to have:

  • Mature, highly motivated individual who is detail oriented; problem solving & solution oriented; ability to efficiently work, both independently and as well as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst, preferably in the investment management sector.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing is a plus.
  • Expertise in Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions and data manipulation techniques.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and process automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English; French fluency is a plus.

Compensation: $95K-$135K per annum inclusive of discretionary bonus, which depends on experience and performance assumed to be in line with expectations.
