Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager for a Contract job with a client in Austin, TX . The ideal candidate will manage data center operations, ensuring maintenance of critical infrastructure and safety protocols. They will lead the team in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Rate Range: $75/hour to $85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Center Operations Manager job responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the maintenance of critical infrastructure systems.
- Managing a team of engineers and contractors.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Developing and implementing maintenance plans for the facility.
- Monitoring performance metrics and ensuring operational efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 7-10 years of engineering experience, with 5-7 years in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with data center systems, including UPS, generators, and switchgear.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Experience with Corrigo, MCIM, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Service Now platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and vendors effectively.
