Job Title: Data Center Technician I Job Location: Florence, KY 41042 Job Duration: 11 Months (Contract) Pay Range: $25.39/Hr - $26.39/Hr Daily Schedule: 2nd Shift 5:00 pm - 1:30 am Job Description: Our site is a reverse logistics hub for decommissioning our client data center equipment. We process parts that are retired as well as those removed during repair. During our intake process, parts are inspected and evaluated and then sent to our on-site laboratory, where they are function tested, and may undergo basic repairs. Then, depending on the test results, parts are sent to the highest-value recovery path. This could include re-using it as a spare part, integrating it into new equipment, or if there's no internal demand, we may liquidate or recycle it. It is a transactional role, but with a focus on quality over quantity. Job Responsibilities: As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff. You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team. You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues. You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved. Top 3 must-have hard skills: IT Support Experience with computer hardware components. MS Office experience Manufacturing environment
