Data Center Technician - TEKsystems : Job Details

Description

Assist in trace and locate cabling for 500+ connections, label accordingly, and document appropriately.

Aid in physically receiving, installing, labeling, and documenting data center assets.

Assist in the decommission, dismantle, and move/reinstall of 30+ racks of equipment over a period of time.

Add/update/changes various APC UPS configurations and report for 120+ locations (*we'll train how-to, use of software).

- Data Center(s) - Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC)

- Cabling - MAC, Tag and Locate.

- Physical requirements *install/decom data center components.

o Safety is a priority.

o No production impacts.

- Rack changes/moves.

o Power distribution and cable management.

- Other *escort third party vendors, etc.

Ability to work after hours, follows instructions well, someone that can work on their own if required with limited supervision, cabling background a plus. Look for someone that is meticulous at labeling, documentation, and provides clean final product. Basic computer knowledge using computer and office applications, understand and can use Excel, whiling to learn other tools/applications used for data center operations.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
