Data Center Technician - Apex Systems : Job Details

Data Center TechnicianLocation: Memphis, TN- onsite Schedule: two different shifts 7am-4pm or 11-8. 7 days a week. No more than 40hrs a week. shift may include weekend work. Must be ok with either of those shifts and the possibility that their days could include weekends Rate: $30/HR Network install/cabler technicians familiar with rack/stack, crash carts, and addressing hardware issues on blades, switches, and cables. Requirements:

• Rack and Stack Experience
• Strong Networking understanding
• Data Center Install Experience

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Begin by finalizing laying the cables

• Rack and stack of datacenter equipment
• Familiar with crash carts and server lifts
• Installation of high density cables, including fiber optic and network cables
• Support HW checkout by performing HW fix actions on blades discovered during checkout as needing repair
• Respond to HPE requests for HW actions on blades, switches, cables, and other system components
• Familiar with crash carts and server lifts
• Ability to work with specialized lifts to move heavy components (90 lbs) and follow all safety protocols (2 person lift)
• Unbox electronic boards and install into mainframe cabinet
• All Tasks included in Phase 2 Advanced Hardware Installation
• Perform HW update actions to replace mainframe CPU boards
