Description

A Data Coordinator I position is currently available within the experimental therapeutics (phase 1, EPTU) research team at the Tisch Cancer Institute. The Data Coordinator reviews, extracts, cleans and audits data from various source documents so that the appropriate data can be shared. He/she also ensures the accuracy of the data and acts as a resource to all users of the database.

The Tisch Cancer Institute is a vital component of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and plays a key role in the Mount Sinai Health System, which is one of the largest health care systems in the nation. We are a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated center and provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatments and clinical breakthroughs that may one day put an end to cancer.

Responsibilities
  • Abstracts data from electronic records and various sources and reconciles inaccuracies in accordance with ALOCA-C and GCP.
  • Collects and records study data from various source documents into different case report systems. Inputs all information accurately into database.
  • Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures.
  • Reviews and audits database on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Makes corrections and additions to database records as required.
  • Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
  • Assists with recording and logging of safety reports for weekly reviews and/or submission to data safety monitoring committees (or equivalent).
  • Updates and resolves queries or issues within the databases in a timely manner and responds to database lock requests promptly.
  • Performs activities in accordance with established policies and procedures related to clinical research study protocols, including but not limited to: answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating specimen collection, etc.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience/education required.

Experience:

  • 0-1 years of database experience.
  • Oncology knowledge desirable.

General Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and schedules.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $73000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
