Data Engineer - SimpleBet : Job Details

Our mission is to power the future of fan engagement. Simplebet is a B2B sports technology company that uses machine learning and real-time solutions to make every moment of every sporting event a betting opportunity. We're reimagining how people enjoy sports with products that are simple, intuitive, and entertaining. Our technology powers micro-betting capabilities of the leading operators around the globe. We are looking to hire a Data Engineer to join our Technology Team! Responsibilities:

• Build robust and reliable ETL pipelines with best practices and data governance in mind using Python, SQL, Prefect, Databricks, Kafka, and PostgreSQL
• Work on our Django REST API to serve master data throughout the company
• Organize raw sports data from a variety of sources into a cohesive, centralized data warehouse
• Build and improve our real-time streaming data infrastructure and products
• Organize product data in our Databricks Lakehouse

Requirements:

• 3+ years of data-oriented software development experience
• Experience working with Python and SQL is a must
• Understanding of data modeling best practices
• Experience building spark applications with PySpark
• Knowledge of U.S. sports

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Django, Flask or Fast API
• Experience with Delta Lake
• Experience with confluent Kafka
• Experience with Prefect

Compensation will be reflective of the candidate's level of experience and may range from $120,000 to $170,000. This role can be based in the Company's HQ in New York, NY or be fully remote.
