Come join us Job Description:[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc.is seeking Data Engineering Managers in Chicago, IL to partner withcross-functional teams to initiate, lead, and drive to completion clientprojects involving the transformation of enterprise data solutions. In thisrole, you will: lead and manage a team of data engineering professionals andcross-functional teams to design, develop and manage core data foundations,executive metrics and methodologies; create insightful automated dashboards,data visualization, modern data pipelines, data streams, and data serviceApplication Programming Interfaces (APIs) to track and extract useful businessinsights; analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data and developdeep-dive analyses and machine learning solutions to drive member value andcustomer success; craft the architectures, data warehouses and databases thatsupport access and Advanced Analytics and bring them to life through modernvisualization tools; act as a thought partner to senior leaders and executivesto develop long-term roadmaps and strategy, prioritize/scope projects, providerecommendations, and evangelize data-driven business decisions in support ofstrategic goals; and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineerson analysis and design and lead code/design reviews. Periodic travel to clientsites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must livew/in reasonable commuting distance of Chicago, IL. Offeredannual salary: $188,500.00. Benefitsinformation available here: Skills and experiences Basic Qualifications:The position requires at least a bachelor'sdegree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Machine Learning, or closely related field,plus at least seven (7) years of experience as a Data Engineering Manager, orin a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment. A qualifiedapplicant's experience must include: 7 years of experience performing dataengineering, warehousing, publishing and visualization throughout the full datalifecycle; 7 years of experience defining data architecture and ETL processdesign; 5 years of experience performing end-to-end implementation of datawarehousing analytics solutions built on MS or Azure platforms; 2 years ofexperience engaging as Technical Lead for teams of 6 or more consultants; 5years of experience engaging as Project Lead for teams of 3-5 or moreconsultants; 5 years of experience developing analytics reporting solutionsusing Power BI, Qlik and/or Tableau; 3 years of experience with Cosmos, DB,Azure IoT, and/or Azure Logic Apps; and 5 years of experience using DPMspecific tooling including: Spark, Python, Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQLServer, Azure Data Lake, and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).#LI-DNI What you'll do In this role, you will: lead and manage a teamof data engineering professionals and cross-functional teams to design, developand manage core data foundations, executive metrics and methodologies; createinsightful automated dashboards, data visualization, modern data pipelines,data streams, and data service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) totrack and extract useful business insights; analyze large-scale structured andunstructured data and develop deep-dive analyses and machine learning solutionsto drive member value and customer success; craft the architectures, datawarehouses and databases that support access and Advanced Analytics and bringthem to life through modern visualization tools; act as a thought partner tosenior leaders and executives to develop long-term roadmaps and strategy,prioritize/scope projects, provide recommendations, and evangelize data-drivenbusiness decisions in support of strategic goals; and provide technicalguidance and mentorship to junior data engineers on analysis and design andlead code/design reviews.
