Ultimate Staffing is excited to offer an opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk to join a prominent manufacturing firm known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Location: Fully Onsite in Irvine, CA

Job Type: Temp-To-Hire (Transition to permanent after 4 months)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role Overview:

We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to support our operations team. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining accurate data records and ensuring the efficient handling of information within our manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Type in data provided from production reports, inventory counts, and other sources.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents to ensure correctness.
  • Update existing data to reflect changes in inventory, production schedules, and other metrics.
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members.
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and security.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to prevent loss of information.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of a touch typing system is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management systems.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, along with strong communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
