The role of a data quality specialist involves collaborating with various teams, including data governance, data management, and business intelligence teams, to ensure that data is of high quality and meets the needs of the organization. They will also work closely with data source owners and consumers to understand their data requirements and address any data quality concerns. Responsibilities

  • Data Quality Specialist will partner closely with source system owners, data consumers, and IT to ensure our data is usable, timely, robust, trustworthy, and compliant.
  • This role looks at the end-to-end data flow and lifecycle, from generation/acquisition to exploitation and value, to establish global and local data quality dimensions, rules, and indicators.
  • Leverage data quality best practices to design and maintain policies, methodologies, guidelines around data quality, data profiling, data cleansing, including KPI/metrics definitions
  • Collaborate and support stakeholders responsible to implement relevant data quality rules and policies and ensure those rules and policies are implemented
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage governance tool to track and manage data quality and compliance, support reconciliation and validation processes.
  • Manage the execution and monitoring of the DQ Project, in partnership with the PMO
  • Solicit and capture DQ expectations and document DQ rules
  • Perform analyses of data flows and data sources
  • Establish and document DQ processes
  • Establish reporting of DQ Metrics
  • Manage DQ Communications to Business stakeholders and DG.
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate
  • Experience working in data and analytics engagements has held key responsibilities in managing organization-wide data governance implementation, oversight, and adherence to data governance and management policies and frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, create visually pleasing, client-ready presentations and project status updates
  • A strong understanding of data quality principles, standards, and best practices is essential. This includes knowledge of data governance, data management, data profiling, data cleansing, and data integration
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, data quality management software, and database querying languages (e.g., SQL) is often required. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes is also beneficial
  • Experience in data management and data governance roles, such as data analyst, data steward, or data quality analyst, is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying and resolving data quality issues. The ability to analyze complex data sets, understand data relationships, and interpret data quality metrics is important.
  • Working knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall)
