Alamo St. San Antonio, Texas, 78215 United States Job Summary and Description Insupport of Alamo College's commitment to safeguard student and Alamo Collegesdata, the Data Management Officer (DMO) establishes and maintains the datagovernance program in coordination with leadership and other organizationalleads. As the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) data liaison, the DMO alsoidentifies, assesses, and applies the appropriate analytics required to addressdata governance and security questions and communicate conclusions to audiencesof varying levels. The DMO coordinates data assessment, governance, andmanagement activities with internal and external contacts including theInformation Security Officer (ISO), Associate Director of Records Managementand Inventory Control (ADRM), data owners, other departments and offices, andthe Texas State Library and Archives Commission. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in social sciences, data science, statistics, decision sciences, or related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree. Experience: Five or more years of work experience in analytics-related contexts. Demonstrated experience effectively communicating data analysis to organizational leaders and in public settings. Three plus years progressively responsible project management experience. Experience operating in complex administrative information systems. Demonstrated successful experience applying data visualization tools and software to facilitate user comprehension. Preferred Education and Experience: Experience operating in a student information system environment. Progressively responsible experience working in a higher education setting. Relevant experience in data management, classification, and privacy. Proficiency navigating federal, state, and other regulatory requirements and data management best practices. Familiarity with Texas Administrative Code Chapter 202 (TAC 202), Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Texas Data Management Framework, GLBA, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), and DAMA International's Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK).
