DescriptionJob Summary: The Data Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient data gathering, input, and publication for Cloverdale, Blue Ribbon, and co-manufacturing products. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of all product specifications, managing the process from new item setup to syndication portals. Strong organizational and technical skills are essential for success. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You must be proactive in gathering data, addressing product changes, and ensuring all touchpoints are accurate and complete. Office Environment: 70% of the work is conducted in an office setting, involving time spent on computer research, project management, and communication with team members and stakeholders. Frequent participation in both in-person and virtual meetings, including project updates, strategy sessions, and presentations to management and stakeholders. Production Environment: 27% Regular visits to the production areas will involve exposure to machinery, noise, varying temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions. Travel: >3% Occasional travel for training, meetings, conferences, etc. Schedule: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry:
  • Work with Syndigo and other product portals to correct, update, and add new product information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to gather, review, and enter all essential details about new and existing products into internal ERP system (Deacom) and syndication portals (Syndigo, 1 WorldSync). Ensure that product data is comprehensive, accurate, and up to date.
  • Data Collection:
  • Gather and integrate data properly from production inventory ensuring completion, consistency, accuracy, and reliability across platforms for quick retrieval.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful completion of co-manufacturing, and product change projects.
  • Facilitate the generation of Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN), internal manufacturer numbers, and barcodes for new products in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Partner with internal teams to keep product images up to date at all touch points.
  • Communicate key findings and performance metrics to stakeholders to guide decision-making.
  • Data Analysis & Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular audits of product information to identify and rectify discrepancies, errors, or missing data. Implement quality control measures to ensure consistent and accurate product information across all platforms.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend new data management tools or technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Any other related duties as assigned.
  • RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of industry and job-specific knowledge, skills, and practices.
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, preferably within the manufacturing or food production industry.
  • ERP/ PIM system experience, such as Deacom, preferred.
  • Proficiency in data syndication/ GDSN.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends from large datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
  • Regular visits to production areas will involve exposure to machinery, high noise levels, varying temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
  • Must be comfortable sharing office space with other professionals and performing repetitive, computer-based tasks. This includes extended periods of sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and using input devices such as a keyboard, mouse, and other tools. The role requires maintaining focus on detailed screen work for prolonged durations, including tasks such as data analysis, report preparation, and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around ingredients and/or finished products containing food allergens.
  • Must be able to possess a high level of social interaction and communicate through various channels, including phone, email, face-to-face, and videoconferencing, effectively building and presenting organized data and plans to executive leadership, internal and external groups of various sizes, and key stakeholders.
