Seeking a Senior Data Modeler to design and implement data models using methodologies such as Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault 2.0, and applying them in modern data architectures like Medallion Architecture on Databricks for Delta Live Tables (DLT). This role involves working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create data flows that support enterprise-level solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data models using Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault 2.0 for specific business needs.
- Apply Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) on Databricks for Delta Live Tables (DLT).
- Develop and optimize data flows and pipelines for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data models.
- Maintain documentation and promote best practices across the data modeling function.
- Work with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to integrate models into the broader data platform.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in data modeling or architecture, with expertise in Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault 2.0.
- 2+ years of experience with Data Vault 2.0.
- Proven experience with Databricks and Delta Live Tables (DLT).
- Proficiency in Medallion Architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data warehousing platforms, and data modeling tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance and quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
