Role: Data Modeler Location: OFL, MO Day 1 onsite We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Modeler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models for our product development team.
Responsibilities: • Analyze and understand business requirements to create logical and physical data models • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard tools and methodologies • Work closely with business analysts, database administrators, and software developers to ensure database systems meet business requirements • Collaborate with the data Architect to ensure adherence to data standards and guidelines • Conduct data profiling, analysis, and mapping to ensure accuracy and completeness of data models • Ensure data models are scalable, flexible, and optimized for performance • Participate in data modeling and design reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices
- Develop data models including ETL staging models and traditional data warehouse dimension/fact models.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • 15+ years of experience in data modeling and design • Experience with industry-standard data modeling tools such as ERWin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts such as entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, and data classification • Familiarity with database management systems such as Snowflake and Azure Cloud.
- Design the data marts in dimensional data modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
- Design scalable logical and physical data-models normalizing data into OLTP/OLAP schema.
- Experience with data profiling, analysis, and mapping
