Job Summary
Data Processing Assistant will assist the Data Services Coordinator with the maintenance, preparation, and reporting of data in a variety of school data systems. Data Processing Assistant will import, export, disaggregate, and otherwise prepare schoolwide data to assist with the analysis. This position will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and training staff on spreadsheets and reports for use by Data Department and other staff as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to college level courses in systems analysis, data analysis, descriptive statistics, or related field and recent experience in clerical data processing in a medium to large scale data processing center Principles of statistical analysis Familiarity with Student Information Systems (School Pathways) or other similar systems Proficient in Excel Familiar with data entry, formulas/functions, data visualization, pivot tables, and ranges, and database querying/integration Ability to pull data from student information systems, process, and report on data Ability to use spreadsheets, presentation, mail, and word processing software Ability to import and export files to and from multiple data systems Requirements of maintaining security on computers Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and grammar Understand the schoolwide mission, yet have detailed orientation to assist school in setting and achieving its goals Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements, and restrictions Interpret rules, regulations, and policies Understand and follow oral and written directions Organization skills needed to track and meet schedules, timelines, and critical deadlines Operate modern office equipment, including computers, scanners, and copiers Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation TB Clearance Obtain Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance through the DOJ and FBI Pass a work styles/behavior survey
