Job Description JOB SUMMARY As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to uncover insights and support decision-making. In this role, you will provide business and marketing insight to various stakeholders through analysis, research, and modeling and assist in the maintenance and enhancement of statistical models using open-source coding. You will also be expected to extract and analyze trends from customer databases, conduct multi-channel analysis, and prepare and deliver presentations to various levels of management. This position offers the opportunity to use your skills in advanced quantitative methods to drive business strategies and maximize ROI for our clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide business insights through comprehensive analysis, integrate diverse data sources, apply advanced quantitative methods for customer segmentation, maintain statistical models with open-source coding, and utilize statistical/machine learning techniques to extract trends. Deliver presentations, analyze multi-channel data, aid real-time data flows, and optimize strategies through customer behavior analytics. JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide business and marketing insight to various stakeholders through analysis, research and modeling; - Integrate internal and external data sources, be comfortable working with structured data and be open to learning how to manage unstructured data; - Assist in advanced quantitative methods to segment customers and healthcare practitioners (HCPs), and evaluate customer/HCP related activities for effectiveness and efficiency; - Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of statistical models in R or Python (there is a preference for open-source coding); - Use statistical and machine learning (ML) techniques to extract and analyze trends from the database / data warehouse; - Prepare and deliver presentations with complex analytical concepts; and, - Conduct multi-channel analysis for online and offline contexts using browsing and purchase data; assist in development and analysis of real-time data flows. - Apply analytic techniques to customer or consumer behavior data to determine key customer insights, drive business strategies and maximize ROI EDUCATION DEGREE/DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED Bachelor's degree Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or other natural sciences Bachelors - Required Masters - Preferred LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AREA OF EXPERTISE REQUIRED/PREFERRED 2+ years Open-source Programming Required 2+ yrs Applied Statistics & ML Required 2+ yrs Relational database management Required 1+ yrs Presenting and Presentation Building Required 1+ yrs Advertising or marketing industry work product Preferred 1+ yrs Healthcare industry work product Preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES •Hands-on experience using R or Python •Hands-on experience using SQL (i.e. have an understanding of relational databases) •Experience in applying advanced statistical and machine learning (ML) techniques •Comfortable working with business partners and the ability to take initiative to drive projects forward •Must be able to handle multiple projects from week to week •Must have a strong interest in marketing and advertising •Must have a strong interest in the healthcare industry •Must have an eagerness to refine their presentation and communication skills •Must have an interest in learning Tableau and PowerBI •Comfortable presenting to upper management COMPETENCIES - Code Documentation - Results Documentation - Collegiality - Problem solving - Programming - Data wrangling/cleaning - Statistical analysis - Adaptability - Learning agility Salary $65,000 to $80,000 annually The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
