Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Data Scientist Specialist for our client in the Consulting domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Remote (10% Travel to Sunnyvale, CA)

Salary: $75.00-$80.00/Hourly

Primary Skills: AI/ML

Role Description: The Data Scientist Specialist must have 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities and Skills include:

  • Data science background in statistical modeling, econometric modeling, stress testing/CCAR models, PPNR models.
  • R programming experience to create graphical representations or simulations of data as well as conduct analysis of that data.
  • Designing statistical models, formulating procedures, and providing technical assistance for clients.
  • Linux experience (i.e., some technology/programming experience).
  • Data preservation and decommissioning execution experience.
  • Ability to distinguish between a Windows operating system and a Linux one, and understand the difference between structured and non-structured data storage.
  • Recognize the challenges between an application hosted on-prem vs. an application hosted in the cloud, and distinguish between archiving vs. migrating data between applications.
  • Understand the difference between a database table vs. a database record, and explain the purpose of SQL.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management and clients, and balance multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Build AI/ML models to power Product Search and Recommendation across client's multiple international markets.
  • Provide customers with the most delightful user experience throughout their online shopping journey.
  • Contribute to enhancing AI, ML, NLP, Optimization, Algorithm for large Customer-facing system and service designs.

    • Education: Any/Bachelor's degree

    Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience

    Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

    Travel: 10% travel to CA
