Location : Houston , TX (Onsite need Local profile only)

Job Description

Activities:

• Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical skills, and employ judgment to offer thoughtful, concise input toward resolutions of problems.

• Be able to translate data requirements into business processes and reverse engineer business processes into data requirements

• Comprehension of DevOps and Agile development and application to data centric architecture and solutions

• Basic Project Management (agile & waterfall) and Business Process modeling

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with strong English proficiency

• Leadership skills needed to successfully promote ideas, coordinate work activities, and plan deliverables within a project team.

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with equivalent experience

• Competency in Oracle, SQL Server Database, SAP HANA, and enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Tableau)

• Hands on knowledge with Snowflake (preferred)

Primary Skills Required

  • SQL Querying/Scripting (SQL DDL, DQL, DML, DCL), Expert in both normalized/denormalized and multi-dimensional data models for transactional processing, and/or analytical purposes

  • Experience in Native HANA , SQL or PL/SQL is required

  • Knowledge for products like SAP HANA with preference of SAP HANA XSA data modelling awareness.

  • Apply Physical Data Modeling skills in highly complex, global and cross-functional scenarios.

  • In depth knowledge on debugging and trouble shooting skills on native HANA.

  • Knowledge of (or ability to learn) how metrics might translate or should be altered in Snowflake solution to manage the right events.

  • Ability to coordinate activities amongst several teams.

  • Ability to analyze results and build a solution so proper understanding can be had and conclusions can be drawn.

  • Preferably Certification in Snowflake or at least 6 months run time in snowflake projects.

  • Hands on experience on at least one large scale Data-warehouse Migration to AWS/Azure Cloud

  • Experience with Native Cloud Databases

  • Hands on Architect experience on Snowflake DB and Development experience on Snowsql/Snowpipe , task , streams , containers creations and management.
