This individual must have a solid IT background with a strong understanding of database theory and the technologies used to build and implement them. As well as the ability to be able to work with a variety of database software products, SQL Server etc., and communicate effectively with our technical staff and end users of the database(s). The DBA, in coordination with IT staff will be responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of the various database systems.Pay for this position is between $95,000-$125,000 annually. Salary will be determined by many factors including but not limited to qualifications, technical experience and customer service skills.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains 115 SQL Server Databases associated to vendor-based applications and TOB Custom Applications (Web Front End and Access Front End).Manages 14 instances among the four Server Clusters - MS SQL 2008R2, 2014, 2019 and 2022.Installs new databases on the SQL Server instances.Write SQL scripts for each SQL instance to automate the daily and weekly backups.Write SQL scripts to manage database index and disk fragmentation.Build new Server Clusters and migrate databases from old to new clusters.Monitor SQL activity logs across all SQL instances to assure proper database performance levels.Verifies load balancing for each of the four Server Clusters.Install and Configure SQL Server Reporting (SSRS) for creation and maintenance of Animal Management Shelter Reports.Create and maintain the Microsoft SSRS reports.Maximo Database subject matter expert.Create and maintain Maximo BIRT reports.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSDatabase certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) – Preferred.Proven experience (3+ years) as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.SUCCESS MEASUREMENTS / EXPECTED OUTCOMESClient contract renewal / Customer Satisfaction rating.Technical Certifications230 days/billable/year (fulfillment of contract)Regularly scheduled account updates to Manager.Custom Computer Specialists Offers:Competitive salariesComprehensive benefits including:Medical and dental plansCompany paid vision and short and long term disability plansFlexible spending programs including Healthcare, Dependent Care, Transit and Parking401K with employer matchTuition reimbursementOnsite fitness center (or gym membership reimbursement for client or satellite based employees)Company paid life InsurancePaid holidays and vacationTechnical certification gift card rewards programCome experience our unique culture and see how our “right people, right results” philosophy has led to our outstanding success!
