Job Description :

Our client seeks two experienced Database Administrator professionals to join their team. Candidates will work on high-performance enterprise software solutions using Agile methodologies, with a focus on Oracle database technologies to support critical application portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to enhance applications and implement new solutions.
  • Build databases and applications using technologies such as Java/J2EE, REST web services, Spring, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and more.
  • Perform advanced logical database administration, including performance tuning, database development, and application support.
  • Use Agile practices to contribute to backlog grooming, user story development, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.
  • Develop Linux shell scripts and CI/CD workflows for database automation.
  • Implement Oracle APEX toolsets and optimize Oracle SQL/PLSQL code.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards for database interfaces.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in database implementation, administration, and monitoring in production and non-production environments.
  • Advanced skills in Oracle SQL/PLSQL development and optimization.
  • Experience with database automation and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development and data modeling tools like Erwin.
  • Strong expertise in database performance tuning, including Explain Plan analysis.
  • Familiarity with Oracle internal views, tablespace consolidation, DBMS reorganization, and partition/index analysis.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and Agile development methodologies.

Work Details:

  • Location: Remote with occasional on-site requirements in Austin, TX.
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours and weekend support.
  • Terms: Contract
  • Duration: January 2025 – August 31, 2025
