Responsibilities:

  • Maintain database integrity, security, and availability, including establishing and managing user accounts.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure database security and reliability.
  • Organize and format data for optimized query and storage.
  • Evaluate requirements and recommend suitable database management system (DBMS) products.
  • Provide server administration for database products such as Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE.
  • Perform disaster recovery planning, performance tuning, and database monitoring.
  • Support database life-cycle activities to maintain optimal system performance and availability.
  • Assist with data modeling activities, including prototype database implementations.
  • Coordinate architectural changes with Database Engineers.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, including restructuring and reloading data as needed.
  • Install and manage database management systems, tables, and views.
  • Leverage emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies to enhance system efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Active T/S SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in similar programs or contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution (4+ additional years of DBA experience may substitute for the degree).
