Job Type Full-time Description Position Description: The Executive Analyst will provide insights and report on findings via data visualizations and stories derived from various sources related to all casino and marketing activities for Buffalo Run Casino & Resort. By exploring market trends, competitors, potential and existing guests, the Executive Analyst will help to foster a data driven environment through the creation of models and analysis that drive revenue, profit, and engagement. This individual will coordinate with teams throughout the organization and external agencies to collect and retrieve data required for research projects. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Build business intelligence, reports and dashboards using software like Microsoft Excel/VBA, Tableau, or SAS Visual Analytics that include segment/campaign profitability and customer behavior or trends.
  • Create training material to raise the competency of analytics across Buffalo Run Casino & Resort
  • Investigate and conduct deep dives into data across marketing channels (email, web, social, digital advertising, events, etc.) to understand customer engagements and analyze user behaviors throughout the customer journey.
  • Collect customer demographic information (e.g., gender, income, age) and market data (e.g., competition prices, industry, media) through primary research methods and sources (such as surveys, media ratings tools, internal databases and focus groups) and secondary research (information from industry associations, statisticians, and marketing experts).
  • Conduct market research for determining brand perceptions, understanding guest needs, evaluating market penetration and analyzing competitors.
  • Generate reports that analyze customers, competition, the industry, and marketing activities using charts, graphs, explanatory text and previously developed ROI formats.
  • Perform special studies as assigned, including preparation of written and/or verbal reports.
  • Oversee all department presentation materials, including but not limited to, final reports, PowerPoint presentations, and all electronic presentation deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to research, analyze, and configure complex data sources according to business needs.
  • Manage projects to scope requirements for data matrix to be used for analysis and coordinate input and approvals from multiple stakeholders.
  • Build reports and dashboards that enable managers, operators, and team members to better understand our business and facilitate key decisions.
  • Identify gaps in reporting and business intelligence capabilities needed by divisions/departments and work on long-term solutions to meet these needs.
  • Create reports and analyze data for departments that do not have analytics support.
  • Participate in the identification, definition, and testing of company-wide metrics.
  • Run cross-departmental projects with multiple contributors.
  • Work independently with leaders across the company to identify opportunities for new data analysis and development of new self-service tools to improve productivity and outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to implement new functions and data across the broader scope of the company.

Requirements Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working in quantitative/data analyst roles with hospitality, food and beverage, and retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to train and administer the tool sets (data visualization and analytics tool sets - Tableau, PowerBI, and SQL)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of standard data models/schemas
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in database management.
  • Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced, high-performance environment with tight deadlines.
  • Requires ability to think critically and independently, while at the same time the ability to know when to ask for help; requires excellent common sense.
  • Ability to self-manage project based upon defined timelines and variable outcomes required.
  • Ability to complete projects that require long hours prepping presentation materials from not just content, but even making them dynamic perspective.
Licensing: •Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License Work Requirements: Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino and/or event environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
