Position Overview:
The IT Data Center & Security Manager will lead a dedicated team focused on Data Center operations and IT Security. Reporting directly to the IT Director, this role emphasizes strategic planning, process optimization, team development, and cost-effective operations. While the position requires a solid technical foundation to make informed decisions, the primary focus is on leadership and management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a proactive and collaborative environment, driving initiatives like infrastructure updates, network enhancements, and security improvements in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of four, fostering growth and accountability.
- Provide clear guidance for junior team members while empowering seasoned staff to operate autonomously.
Strategic Planning & Initiatives:
- Collaborate with the IT Director to create a multi-year roadmap addressing infrastructure, data center, and security priorities.
- Drive proactive improvements such as infrastructure refreshes, network updates, and security enhancements.
Process Optimization:
- Build and refine operational processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Address challenges like knowledge silos and resource constraints through structured knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Project Management:
- Oversee critical initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Balance multiple priorities, adjusting plans as necessary to align with business objectives.
Operational Cost & KPI Management:- Develop meaningful KPIs to measure success and track improvements.
- Manage and optimize operational costs while maintaining high levels of performance and security compliance.
