Job Summary:
- Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Center Foreman to lead the installation, maintenance, and optimization of data center infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site teams, ensure project timelines and quality standards are met, and leverage their expertise in Software House systems to deliver integrated security and access control solutions. This role requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a commitment to Convergint's values of service excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate data center installation and maintenance projects, including cabling, rack installation, power systems, and security infrastructure.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Implement and configure Software House access control and security systems (e.g., C•CURE 9000) as part of integrated data center solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications, budgets, and deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and Convergint quality protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data center systems, with a focus on Software House platforms.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including project logs, as-built drawings, and system configurations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during on-site operations.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, construction, or related field.
- Required: Proven expertise with Software House systems (e.g., C•CURE 9000 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).
- 3+ years of supervisory or foreman experience leading technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including structured cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems.
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, security integration, and access control technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Software House CCURE 9000 or related platforms.
- Experience with other Convergint-supported systems (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, or Bosch).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, IT, or Construction Management).
