Day Camp Counselor - Young Men's Christian Association of the Chesapeake : Job Details

Provides direct supervision of a group ofchildren in a seasonal day camp. Provides a quality experience to children andparents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, andcaring.QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more ofcollege preferred.

Previous experience working with children preferably ina day camp setting

Experience preferred in one or more of the followingareas: outdoor living, archery, boating, camping, songs/music, skits, sports,aquatics, recreational games, etc...

At least 16 yearsof age

CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention trainingwithin 30 days of hire date.

Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to plan, lead and participate in a range ofactivities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
