Job Responsibilities Facilities Management is seeking to fill Day Porter positions. Day Porters report to the Custodial Supervisor and must be able to work under very limited supervision. Day Porters will maintain a high standard of cleanliness for assigned buildings and areas; perform daily janitorial services; perform inspections of the areas covered by the nightly janitorial contractors; and supervise temporary employees. These positions are considered essential personnel and are required to perform duties during/after severe weather and in other emergency situations and will be assigned at Thornley or Palmer campus. Learn more about TTC! Minimum and Additional Requirements This position requires experience in custodial, housekeeping that is directly related to the area of employment. A valid SC driver's license is also required. Experience in custodial or housekeeping work is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidate will have knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, equipment and safety practices used in large commercial/institutional facilities. Highly motivated candidates with the ability to perform manual tasks, organize general cleaning activities, manage heavy equipment, take the lead with special cleaning projects and work independently are preferred.
