Job SummaryShades of Light Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of items to company locations and making transfers between our retail showroom and outlet stores. They are responsible for the safe operation of the Shades of Light box truck and must adhere to all safety, traffic, and DOT laws.Job Requirements/Expectations:
  • Load and unload the company box truck by hand or with the use of equipment
  • Transport, transfer, and deliver items to company locations in a safe, timely manner
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the department receives an accurate transfer.
  • Provide excellent customer service, by answering questions, and handling complaints from all company locations.
  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedule provided by the company.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record while employed by Shades of Light.
  • Follow best practices for safety on the road and in the distribution center as specified by DOT and the company
  • Maintaining reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Performing other warehouse duties between deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Basic qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Ability to stand or sit for periods of time, crouch, bend, and lift up to 50lbs independently.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
