Job Title: DDC Technician

Job Summary
We seek a skilled and motivated Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Technician to join our team. This full-time role focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, and optimizing building automation systems (BAS) for commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a local and stable work history and at least three years of hands-on experience with BAS/DDC systems. This position is essential in ensuring seamless system operation, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort across various commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on BAS/DDC systems, including HVAC controls, chillers, air handlers, and VFDs.
- Assist in upgrades and commissioning new BAS installations, focusing on BACnet and DDC protocols to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Work with leading BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Alerton, Distech, and ALC, ensuring proper integration and high performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical findings, preparing detailed reports, and offering recommendations to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
- Use tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit to maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment modifications, and system performance logs.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience with BAS/DDC systems in commercial settings, focusing on HVAC controls, chillers, air handlers, and related equipment.
- Strong familiarity with BAS platforms, including Tridium Niagara, Alerton, Distech, and ALC, as well as protocols like BACnet and DDC.
- Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex BAS issues while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- A stable and local work history is required, showcasing knowledge of area-specific building standards and availability to ensure rapid response to system needs.
