Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Debt Capital Markets professional at Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to analytical skills, finance, investments, and financial services in the private real estate sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing debt capital markets activities and supporting investment strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Apply knowledge of real estate debt markets to assist in sourcing, structuring, and originating optimal financing

solutions for industrial, multi-family, and office properties.

· Assist in the evaluation of lender proposals.

· Assist in the negotiation of terms of loan documents with lenders on behalf of the borrower.

· Develop and maintain relationships with lenders including commercial banks, life insurance companies, debt

funds, and commercial mortgage servicers.

· Provide guidance internally on property debt structure, interpretation of loan documents, and navigating lender

and servicer requirements.

· Assist in brokering loans.

· Assist in closing transactions including acquisition financing, construction loans, refinances, recapitalizations,

loan assumptions and modifications/restructurings.

· Manage interest rate cap portfolio/ hedging instruments portfolio.

· Manage loan portfolio reporting internally and externally.

· Any other duties assigned by the Senior Vice President, Capital Markets

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task concurrent projects
  • 2 to 4 years of direct experience in real estate debt related, debt capital markets, capital markets, real estate

loan, CRE banking

  • Experience in Investments
  • Knowledge of Financial Services
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in debt capital markets preferred
