Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Debt Defense Attorney to join our legal team. As a Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing debt defense representation to clients in debt disputes and settlement legal matters. Responsibilities

  • Dispute debt accounts with creditors and bureaus immediately.
  • Help clients dispute their debt summons cases.
  • Respond to summons stating that the case is currently in dispute and that no summons should be filed until the credit dispute is resolved with the creditors.
  • Aim for debt settlement for a 50% reduction or more.
  • Dispute with Credit and credit restoration.
  • Challenge summons that are sued while the dispute is ongoing.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients at 50% or less reduction.
  • Provide legal administrative support, such as maintaining case files and managing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop effective legal strategies.

Skills

  • Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to write clear and concise documents.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Ability to litigate cases effectively in court.
  • Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to Texas state bar association and licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law in Debt Defense.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
