About the Role: Theoris Services in assisting our client in finding a highly skilled Deep Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our client's innovative drug discovery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, particularly in deep learning techniques, and experience handling biological data. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing machine learning models to support groundbreaking research in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain deep learning models for analyzing large-scale biological datasets.
- Develop and optimize algorithms for data preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training.
- Collaborate with biologists, chemists, and bioinformaticians to integrate machine learning solutions into analytical and biophysical assays.
- Utilize high-performance computing resources and cloud platforms to accelerate model training and deployment.
- Ensure reproducibility and traceability of machine learning workflows using version control tools.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Antibody/protein design, model training and fine-tuning; LLM/PLM, GNN, CNN
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with biological sequence databases like GenBank, UniProt, and tools for clustering biological data (e.g., UCLUST, BLASTClust).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in machine learning or bioinformatics within a research or industry setting.
- Experience in developing and deploying deep learning models for biological data analysis.
- Background in analytical and biophysical assays is highly advantageous.
